Patootie Dog
Why is my Pekingese grunt so much?

I inherited a Pekinese-Cutie patootie years 7. I love him so much. But every time my face is too close to him, or if I'm a little too Lovie Dovie-tight with him, going to growl. Just leave me because I am afraid I get bitten. I never had a pug before. What causes a growl like that? Or is his way of saying "I love you too"?

I met a dog like that too … that complain to get in bed with you, but when you have taken to put it on the sofa, growling, he would be sitting in your lap and see my eyes I love you, asking be stroked, but when I stroked, grunts, would Scoot your bottom on the floor, but when language is used to try to empty the anal glands, growls. He was a master of mixed signals! It was not pleasant. But the important thing to note is that I've never been bitten once. Therefore, you must use the same philosophy I use all my dates, and continue to come from the fit, even if you fail to say. Sometimes a growl means "yes."
